They have a very cosy café in a greenhouse where they serve a decent variation of mouth-watering cakes and other quick bites during lunchtime. Tea and coffee can also be recommended. Apart from that, you can also buy plants, seeds and basic needs for your garden equipment but the very best thing from Petersham Nurseries is their shop. A wide range of greeting cards, seasonal decorations and cutlery can be bought here.
- John Morris Review added: 2018.05.18★ ★ ★ ★ ☆After a walk in nearby Richmond Park, we arrived at lunchtime without a reservation mid-week in the Easter school break - and with 2 week old granddaughter in tow. It was originally going to be just a coffee stop, but the ambience enticed us into the main restaurant where we were charmed by the welcome and the atmosphere. Food and service were impeccable and informal all at once. Highlights were the Tuscan Bean Soup and Fillet of Brill - and again, the atmosphere. Would recommend this place for all who enjoy conversation over a leisurely paced lunch.
Only one slight issue - getting to the bathrooms on a rainy day!
Will definitely make a return visit.
